Description
Ever had a post deathbed confession?
I have twice. They’re as unpleasant as one might imagine, especially when my mother confesses that the preacher from her childhood bible camp is my father. At a loss with what to do, I decided to dedicate myself to the one stable thing in my life. Work.
As a forensic financial fraud specialist what are the chances I receive a case about the very church where good ol’ dad ministers?
I’m left with two choices: let sleeping dogs lie or go nail my father to his proverbial cross.
I’m no one’s prodigal daughter. Arriving in the town of Eden’s Gate to make my intentions known, much to my dismay, I’m too late, my father “The Preacher” is dead.
Now I must enter a world of deception and malfeasance. Uncovering a decades-long conspiracy, where the foundation of the town’s church is built on an unholy house of cards.
Excerpt
“I had the idea of wandering the grounds until whatever service let out to talk to the man I shared DNA with. At least, that’s what I had told myself. Then I saw a man standing on the sidewalk looking as lost and uncomfortable as I felt.”
